Cold Country Romance

Australian Authors living and writing in a cold climate.

For many people, rural and small town Australia is seen as vast dusty plains but the climate in Australia is varied and unique in its own way. This site aims to feature stories set in the cooler regions.

Dakota Harrison and Fiona Marsden live in Queensland’s Granite Belt, set on a plateau attached to the Great Dividing Range. Louisa Duval is based in Brisbane but spends holidays and weekends on the Granite Belt, within sight of the national parks.

Dakota and Fiona have teamed together to create Kurrajong Crossing, a small town situated somewhere similar to their own rural town.

Fiona has a separate series in Redemption Creek, not far from the Crossing and Louisa Duval is writing about Ballydoon, about half an hours drive in the other direction.
